‘The Military and Local Businesses’. The talk will cover a brief introduction on the changes in the military in general, and the military’s interaction with local businesses and the effect that the militaries actions can have on a company and how they can interact better.
Major Steve Hudson, originally from Lincolnshire joined the Army at 16 and served all around the world mainly in the communications spectrum. He left the Regular Army and moved to Oxfordshire but remained in the reserves. Completed numerous operational tours as a Regular and Reservist in Training, Technical, Planning and Liaison roles. Recently started a 2 year full time reservist role in Aldershot as the Employer Engagement Staff Officer.

Catherine will be talking about Charles Russell’s CSR programme, firm wide and locally; why CSR at Charles Russell is important to employees and clients; and how they are careful to manage the potential for conflicts between and overlap of CSR and their Charities & Not For Profit Practice.
Catherine has experience in advising a wide range of charitable and not for profit organisations on corporate, commercial, constitutional and regulatory issues, dealing with the establishment of new charitable organisations and advising trustees on operational and governance issues, re-structures and mergers.
